September’s Happy Things

It’s been a while since I last posted a Happy Things post, but I always enjoy doing them when I do write them, so here’s what made me happy in September.

Time to read and relax whilst recovering from surgery. All the fabulous books! I am so spoilt for choice with reading at the moment. Pretty flowers from my wonderful work colleagues (these have been really brightening my living room reading corner). Autumn is starting! Autumn is my favourite season. Lots of cosy snuggles with my pupper dog. My little boy settled into year two really well. Harry Potter PJs and Hedwig slippers. Fabulous new red jeans. An excuse to buy a new waterproof coat. Lunch date with Husband. Filling my Waterstones stamp card (always a happy occasion) and using it for EVEN MORE BOOKS. An evening out at the Sage for a concert (I wasn’t supposed to be going but we double booked and I really enjoyed it). The new Cormoran Strike on TV. Piles of new yarn for knitting projects. My new Woodwick candle that smells like a herb garden and crackles as it burns. It makes my fiery heart happy.

And since everyone always seems to enjoy them, here are my 6 year old, S’s happy things for September:

Starting Year 2 at school. Going on a trip to the adventure playground. ICT Club. Joining Beavers because I’m 6 now so I can go. Climbing. Going bowling at the weekend with my uncle. Getting new trainers that the dog didn’t chew. Getting books from the school book fair. Reading Captain Underpants.

That’s us done for this month! What little things have been making you happy in September?
