September Stats

This month, I’ve decided to try a slightly different format for my reading update. Let me know what you think in the comments or on Twitter?

month in books

This month I have read 13 books. You can read all of my reviews in my weekly round ups: 8th Sept,  17th Sept, 22nd September and 29th September.

I have bought 12 new books (you can see these in my latest haul post)

I have borrowed 2 books: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and Freshers by Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivision, both of which I have heard great things about.

I was given / won 2 books (these also feature in my latest haul post).

I have requested 5 new netgalley books: Mirror Mirror  by Carla Delavigne (which featured in October releases I’m looking forward to), Undercover Princess by Connie Glynn, The Truth and Lies of Ella Black by Emily Barr, Uncanny by Sarah Fine and Blackbird by N.D. Gomes. I am so excited to read all of these!

I have recieved 9 proof copies for review (also featured in my haul post, linked above).

mount ted

This month, I overhauled my TBR. I have a spreadsheet now. It is very organised. Mount Ted the TBS now stands at 305 books. Mount Ted has has a tough month. Husband is growing suspicious of the size of the book pile next to the approved book case. I currently have:

138 physical books

132 kindle books

28 proofs / arcs

6 library / borrowed books

challenge updates

Goodreads challenge 103 / 120 books

I’m pleased with my progress on this one and it looks like I might exceed my goal for the year, which would be a new reading record for me.

Goodreads Summer Number Challenge 2/ 3 books

So technically, this challenge ended yesterday and I have not completed it. This is not great, but I will still be reading the last book I planned to read for this challenge which was One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. I have heard amazing things about this book and I hope to read it in October.

Goodreads Bookbuster Challenge 23 / 28 books

I really need to get on with reading some more for this one. I’m out of authors for the easy letters now, but I do have some books on my TBR that fit the criteria.

It’s a shiny new section! I am generally terrible at planning my TBR for the next month, or setting themes, because I’m generally a mood reader unless I have deadlines to meet. In October, I want to get on top of my arcs / proofs and ideally be a month ahead in reading those <insert hollow laugh here> I also want to read at least two books towards my Goodreads Bookbuster Challenge so that I can complete it before the end of the year.

That’s my reading stats for the month. How’s your reading been going? What are your plans for next month?
