Hello! I am kicking off 2017 with #SixforSunday and basically a list where I berate myself for my poor, poor life choices. This week I am actually glad I am only allowed six books because in 2017 there were A LOT of books I didn’t read. I didn’t read NEARLY ALL THE BOOKS. In fact, you name a book from 2017 and there is a pretty reasonable change it’s on Mount Ted the TBR and I haven’t read it yet.
Here are six of the books I am most ashamed to own up to not having read yet:
Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
I went out to get this almost as soon as it came out. It is gorgeous. I wanted it so badly. I haven’t read it yet. I do not know why because everything I have heard about it suggests it’s going to be perfect for me.
The State of Grace by Rachel Lucas
Okay, don’t even @ me with your anger I know I am an idiot and I know I need to read this six months ago. I don’t even know what is wrong with me.
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
I think maybe I am just broken. I even sent Husband to the YA section of my favourite bookshop for this the week it was published. I haven’t read it yet.
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
I pre-ordered this one. I couldn’t wait for it. I have no explanation for why it remains unread. None.
Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
I am probably the only person who hasn’t read this. I did think about picking it up one time. Does that count?
The Call by Peadar O’Gulin
I think our host Steph is going to have some strong words to say at me for this one. It is unforgiveable. I know.
What books from last year are you embarrassed to have not read yet? Which of these do you think I should prioritise reading?
