Today I am sitting down with my coffee to look at my April Bullet Journal spreads, as well as looking back to what March’s looked like all filled in. Join me?
This week I’m drinking Corcasan, a Nicaraguan coffee from Steampunk. This is a new and delightful coffee from my faves with tasting notes of chocolate and hazelnut.
The Bullet Journal:
First up, I’m going to show you what some of my March spreads looked like after I completed them (well, almost – the photos were taken on 28th March so I could schedule this in). I’ve never done this before, so do let me know what you think of this addition to my monthly journal updates!
Obviously my cover looks exactly the same by the end of the month, so the first thing is my calendar. This month, despite it being busy, my calendar stayed pretty neat:
After that are my trackers. My habit trackers show you what a terrible job I do of life. I almost never sleep 6 hours. I should probably consider dropping this to a level that’s actually possible for me to attain, or learn the subtle art of going the fuck to sleep. I am also dreadful at drinking water, although, in my defence this month I have had weeks of bronchitis and instead of drinking straight water, I’ve been drinking a lot of herbal tea. I am terrible at a lot of things really. That’s the takeaway from this.
My chores tracker shows you how bad I am at housekeeping. Again, with the disclaimer that I have been poorly a lot this month (that’s why some of my squares are half coloured – those are days where I have done something towards cleaning that room, but not everything). Laundry isn’t a thing I deal with daily. I tend to binge it for funsies. I apparently am also bad at cleaning the living room window; in case you were condering why this window is a daily chore… here’s a bonus photo of my dogs wiping their doggy snouts on it.
And finally my completed Books Added and Happy Things pages. I think these are fairly self explanatory, but I thought you might like to see what they look like written on.
Onto April. I’m not going to go into the level of detail I usually do for these because the above is already quite a lot of words. I don’t know if this is going to be a good idea or a terrible one (let me know in the comments?)
For this month I’ve gone with some brighter colours, greens and yellow, because it is spring and the sun is shining. I love spring because it’s still cold enough for me and my frozen heart, but the sun shines a little and the world starts to look a little more colourful.
My Calendar, To-Do List and Trackers are exactly the same layouts this month, but I have changed up the backgrounds a little to continue the spring flower theme. I’ve swapped the habit of eating GF to doing my physio exercises, because I now have a coeliac diagnosis and being gluten free is no longer a lifestyle choice but an absolute necessity. Luckily (?) I now have physio to do to fixed my knackered hips and feet so there was something to fill the void.
For Books Added, I’ve continued the flower theme and left bubbles of white to fill in the books I add to my TBR this month. I’m less keen on this in reality than I was with the idea, but I’m interested to see how it turns out. I’ve also painted a proper background on my happy things page, which I really like.
And that’s me done for another month. I’d really, genuinely, love to hear your thoughts on this post and what you’d like to see from future bullet journal posts.
