A Happy May

It’s almost the end of another month. Here’s the things that have been making me happy in May.

happy things

My new tarot deck from my lovely Scottish friend. The sky finally breaking after days of close, migrainey weather. Plans with my best bookish pal. Nap times. Fresh flowers. Long weekends. Quiet days at home. Yoga (getting a bit obsessed now). Theatre trips. Quilliams breakfast. Reading dates. Great books. Getting on top of blogging (for now). Sorting the house out. Pupper cuddles. Good friends. The best husband. S. My Scottish friend’s singing. Baths. Books. More yoga! Tea with my boys. Hermione the spider plant. Feeling less grim. Cinema trip with S. Yoga mat. Making plans for our anniversary. BBQ. Sunshine. Magnums. British strawberries. Naps. My friends. S being brilliant and running to raise money for Children’s Cancer charities. Quiet evenings at home. Coffee. Sunny spring weather. Chocolate. Celebrating being married 10 years (together 17). Mini golf with the boys. Meal out with Husband. Otterburn. Bellingham. Kielder. Walks in the countryside. Child-free nights away. Grasmere. Being surprised with a night away at Rothay Garden Hotel where we had our honeymoon. Walk up to Easedale Tarn. Tea and cake at our favourite Lake District Cafe (Baldry’s). Quiet evening walk around the lake. Leisurely breakfast. All the Polaroid photos (I love my Instax camera). Getting S and the dogs back home. Cake!Ā Sleeping in my own bed.Ā

And that’s my happy things for another month. What’s been keeping a smile on your face in May?

  1. I love these posts šŸ’œ. Some of my favourite May moments have been some gorgeous book post dropping through my door, my exams being over and really thoughtful leaving presents from my Modern Languages teachers last year. I’m really pleased with how much I’ve managed to read too- I’m currently on 16 Books šŸ˜Š

      1. Ooh another one I’ve thought of is finally starting to feel more comfortable with my stick and posting a photo of it- I was so nervous so I’m really proud that I did that and didn’t delete it later
