September has been a busy month for Family Burns, with little S going back to school, Husband starting a new job, and me being poorly again. That said. I’ve still had a great month of reading.
This month, my TBR was chosen by one of my favourite booksellers and friends, Martha, and she picked some brilliant books for me to read.

Conquering Mount Ted:At the start of September, Mount Ted was 209 books high. It is now 197. A lot of the books I’ve read this month were pinched from the Boy’s bookshelf and not from my own. I have no regrets.
Hodderscape 2019 Reading Challenge: 11/12. Still no movement on this one. I am really struggling for the last prompt.
How was your September?
Oooh sounds like you had a fab month!
What’s the prompt you’re struggling with?

I did! It’s sci fi in translation. Which is HARD. But sci fi isn’t my go-to genre at the best of times.

This sounds like an excellent reading month- well done! I read 12, which I’m pretty pleased with given I started uni midway through and haven’t had as much time to read as I did in the summer. My fave of the month (and only 5 star) was the Girl Who Speaks Bear. Glad to see you enjoyed the Mystery of the Colour Thief- I LOVED Girl 38 so I’m hoping to pick it up soon! Also so happy you liked I, Cosmo!! What’s the lastHodderscape prompt?

The last prompt is a sci-fi book in translation. 12 is good for starting uni. The Girl Who Speaks Bear was brilliant. I loved itm

Wow, 24 books, that is just outstanding. I read a total of 10 books, which I was surprised by since I was so busy. Best of luck for October!

Thank you! I read a lot of middle grade, which generally don’t take as long to read
