Join me in a coffee whilst I look at the latest additions to Mount Ted, my TBR?
This week I am drinking another Steampunk coffee. The Brazilian Patricia is nutty with tasting notes of caramel and brown sugar, which is kind of perfect for this time of year.
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. Can you call yourself a huge fan of someone’s work when you’ve only read two of their many books? I love Leigh’s writing and have heard only amazing things about her first adult book. I am looking forward to diving into this soon.
Storm Witch by Ellen Renner. I keep wanting to pick up the sequel to this one because the cover is stunning. I thought I’d better read the first in the series first, and finally found a copy on the shelves of my favourite Waterstones.
Shadows of Winterspell by Amy Wilson. A new Amy Wilson book is always a cause for joy. I cannot wait to dive into another of her beautiful, magical fantasy worlds. I have been told by some book pals that this is her best yet and I am very excited for it.
Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. This was a chance pick up from the shelves when I was in Waterstones with Steph and Kelly. I had no intention of buying a book that day, but the blurb hooked me and I had to bring it home.
Explorers on Black Ice Bridge by Alex Bell. A new Polar Bear Explorers Club book? Sold. Give it to me now. As this post goes live, I will be reading book two in this series and this is high on my list of things to read next.
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. Please do nor be alarmed but there are two adult books on this list, and this is one of them. This one sounds similar to S.T,A.G.S which I absolutely loved, so I am looking forward to diving into it.
Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell. I picked this up from a cute little bookshop in York on a day trip with Steph and Kelly. I loved The Explorer and Steph informed me that this book is brilliant, so I brought it home.
Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver. This is my second adult book in this haul, and one that is very left-field for me because it’s historical fiction. It is also a ghost story. It’s all the things I usually don’t like in a book, but it sounds awesome. I’ll keep you posted.
And the Stars Were Burning Brightly by Danielle Jawando. The lovelies at Simon and Schuster sent me this one and I am thrilled. I read a sampler following YALC and am so looking forward to reading it. It sounds amazing.
Are any of these books on your TBR? What books have you added to your collection recently?
