Another week of Pride themed bookish goodness from Steph, Queen of Six for Sunday and blogger at A Little But A Lot. This week it’s favourite LGBTQ+ characters, and it was HARD to choose because there are so many that I love.
1. Olivia from Read With Pride by Lucy Powrie. Olivia is such a brillaint, determined and principled character. She’s brilliant in this book and I just love her.
2. Jonathon from The Strangeworlds Travel Agency by L.D. Lapinski. I loved him from the first moment I met him. He is witty and delightfully snarky, and I am all here for his attitude.
3. Alice from Wonderland by Juno Dawson. Alice is a bit of a mess and she gets tied up in some truly bonkers goings on, but I absolutely adored her. She’s definitely a new favourite.
4. Tara from Heartstopper by Alice Oseman. Obviously, I adore Nick and Charlie, but I have a real soft spot for quite but supportive, takes no nonsense Tara.
5. Felix and Michael from The Love Hypothesis by Laura Steven. Caro’s dads are just the best. They’re wonderful and side-splittingly hilarious, and I’d quite like them to adopt me now.
6. Griffin from History is all You Left Me by Adam Silvera. This isn’t a recent read, but Griffin’s is a story that haunts me. I felt so many things reading this book and I just want to hug him.
Which characters would make it to your list?
Excuse me. You might have counted incorrectly here… there are 7 names here, Charlotte Burns. *tut*
