It’s Wednesday, it’s time to sit down with a coffee and look at the new releases due in the next few months that I’m really excited for. Join me?
This week, we’re drinking a Brazilian coffee roasted by our faves at Steampunk coffee in North Berwick. The Fazenda Caxambu is a creamy coffee with tasting notes of plum and hazelnut and is delicious.
There are so many books I am excited for coming up in the next few months.
Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart – Jamaican inspired fantasy about enemy witches. I have wanted to get my hands on this since the moment I heard about it, and I guarantee I will be dropping everything to read it the moment my preorder arrives.
Strangeworlds: The Edge of the Ocean by L D Lapinski – The sequel to The Strangeworld’s Travel Agency which I read and loved last year. I can’t wait to see what Flick and Jonathan get up to in their next adventure. I have heard some amazing things from early readers.
Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard – I have already read, adored and reviewed this one (you can see my review here) and I can’t wait for my physical copy to arrive. I’ll definitely be rereading Peyton’s story when it does.
Infinity Courts by Akemi Dawn Bowman – I am a huge fan of Akemi’s work and her books are some of my favourites. Infinity Courts is a whole new direction for Akemi’s writing, but I am here for it and looking forward to reading.
Vulture by Bex Hogan – I am a huge fan of Bex’s work and I am still traumatised by the ending to Venom. I need to know what is next for Bronn and Marianne because that ending was absolutely not okay. I will be dropping everything the moment I have this book in my hands.
Bookishly Ever After by Lucy Powrie – This is going to be the final book in the Paper and Hearts Society books. I will be sad to say goodbye to this wonderful group of bookish friends. I have adored the other two books and have no doubt I will love this one too.
Rainbow Grey by Laura Ellen Anderson – I love Laura’s other books, the Amelia Fang series, and I am super excited for this series. It promises magic (weather magic, my fave), villains, chaos and mystery, as well as Laura’s brilliant story telling and stunning illustrations.
Monstrous Design by Kat Dunn – I read Kat’s debut book, and the first in this series, just before the new year and I was gripped. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series, the ending of book one was quite the twist!
The Crackledawn Dragon by Abi Elphinstone – This is the third book in the Unmapped Chronicles series. It is no secret that I have loved this series so far and am a huge fan of Abi’s work, so of course I will be getting my hands on this one at the earliest opportunity.
What books are you looking forward to in the next few months?
