It’s Sunday! I can’t quite believe we’re at the the end of May already. I hope you’re all looking forward to a bank holiday weekend. Today’s #SixforSunday prompt from the brilliant Steph, is books on your Spring TBR. I’m sharing my June TBR later in the week, but I also really want to tackle my proof copies and Netgalley arcs, so here are some more books I hope to read this Spring:
1. Antigua de Fortune of the High Seas by Anna Rainbow and Oli Hyatt. I absolutely adore Anna. I loved her YA books (The Fandom and The Fandom Rising) and I cannot wait to get involved in her new Middle Grade adventure. There are Pirates! And we all know how I love a Pirate.
2. Lost Cause by Rachel Lynch. Unless you’re brand new around here, you’ll probably know I am a big fan of Rachel Lynch. Lost Cause is the latest in her DI Kelly Porter series and the only one that I haven’t read yet. I really want to find out what’s next for Kelly after the ending to the last book.
3. The Rift by Rachel Lynch. Why yes, this is a second Rachel Lynch book on my list. I love her writing. This is the first in a new series with completely new characters and I am looking forward to seeing what Rachel has in store for them and me.
4. The Infinity Files by S. M. Wilson. I absolutely loved The Extinction Trials trilogy by this author, and I have been excited for this book since I first read a sample of it. I have heard only good things about this book, and I am really hoping to pick it up soon.
5. Sisters of the Snake by Sarena and Sasha Nanua. I was sent a copy of this by Harper 360 recently. It sounds brilliant: fantasy, identical twins who have been leading very different lives, prophecies and a whole lot of magic. What’s not to love?
6. What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing by Bruce D Perry and Oprah Winfrey. I don’t read a huge amount of non-fiction, but I am trying to read more, and trauma and healing is a subject that fascinates me, so I jumped at the chance to read this book.
What books are you hoping to read this Spring? Have you read any from my list?
Ooh, you’re making me think I might have been hasty in dismissing Antigua when it came into work today!
I’d not heard anything about it and thought it looked a bit ‘done’ but you’ve convinced me to have a better look!

I really like Anna’s work and I thought it sounded a bit different to anything I’ve read

I’ve not read her others.
I think I just got put off by the blurb but I’ll probably try it (and I hope to be pleasantly surprised)
