Coffee and… My July TBR

I’m a little late posting today, but join me in a coffee whilst I share what I’ll be reading this month?

The Coffee:

This week’s Steampunk coffee is the Brazilian Fazenda Macaubas Microlot which has tasting notes of pineapple, cacao and pecan. I am really enjoying this one.

The Books:

This is my second month choosing books with my TBR prompt jar and I am very much enjoying it, although this month’s selection went through several changes before I settled on this pile.

A book with a plant on the cover

This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron. I was lucky this one arrived when it did because I was struggling to find a book on my shelves with a plant on the cover!

A book you predict will be a 5* read

Murder on the Safari Star by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgeman. I have loved every book in this series so far and have no doubt this will be another brilliant train adventure.

A book that’s been on your shelf for ages

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. This was one of the first books I bought after I started blogging because it was hyped everywhere. It’s high time it got read.

A book with a white cover

Internment by Samira Ahmed. I have no recollection of buying this book, but I have loved Samira’s other work so I have high expectations for this one.

A book set in another country

Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson. I’ve been desperate to get this on a TBR since I bought it, and since it’s set in America, it works perfectly for this prompt!

A hardback book

Agnes at the End of the World by Kelly McWilliams. I don’t have a lot of hardbacks on my shelf and they all sound brilliant so it was hard to settle on one, but this one is a cult book which we all know I love.

A book with a summery cover

The Infinity Files by S. M. Wilson. Am I cheating slightly? Maybe. The cover is more space-y than summery, but the colours remind me of a summer sunset, which totally counts because I said so.

A non-fiction book

This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson. I am gradually working my way through Juno’s non-fiction books and this was next on my list. I wanted to squeeze it in during Pride but didn’t manage to, so it’s happening this month.

What books are you planning to read this month? Have you read any of these?

    1. The coffee doesn’t have pineapple in it it’s just part of the flavour profile – they list a few things that you can taste in in the coffee when it’s brewed well. I don’t get full on pineapple taste from this one but it definitely has the sweet acidity of one.

I wish I could freestyle reading but I’d spend more time trying to choose a book than I would reading because I’m so indecisive

Oh my, mood 😂 sometimes nothing even really fit what im in the mood for.. the struggle is real

  2. I’ll be interested to see what you think of Internment as I really didn’t get on with it!
I have Poison Heart here too, a surprise review copy which was nice and well timed as I need to kick-start some teen fantasy reads! I hope you love Safari Star, I have to confess it’s not my favourite of the three so far, but I still really enjoyed it!
