Coffee and… My June TBR

Time for another TBR already, join me in a coffee whilst I share what I’ll be reading this month.

I didn’t even bother with the jar this month. June is Pride month, so I wanted to take the time to read some of the many LGBTQ+ books on my TBR. A good number of these were books I picked up at Queer Lit when I visited with Steph in ??? and I can’t wait to get stuck in. This month I will be working my way through:

1. Gay Club by Simon James Green
2. The Secret Sunshine Project by Benjamin Dean
3. Only on the Weekends by Dean Atta
4. The Boy in the Red Dress by Kristin Lambert
5. Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
6. Both Can Be True by Jules Machias

This month’s re-read will be the audiobook of Pet by Akwaeke Emezi. This book blew me away when I read it the first time and I am looking forward to re-visiting it.

My “just because” book will be Glorious Poison by Kat Dunn which I will be starting the nt it hits my doorstep because I have a great need to know what’s happened to these characters and how things end for them.

The Way Back book club read for June is Tove Jansson’s The Summer Book, which I am looking forward to reading. I don’t think I’ve read any of Tove’s books other than the Moomins.
